About us

We are a family that changed the way of life in the city to build a different way of inhabiting the land, relating to others in a different way.the sun, rainwater, soil, plants and some farm animals. Casa el Ocobo is the way we share with our guests the experience of being eco-dependent.

The story

Amid the dissatisfaction caused by the various global crises that have been affecting us for years, we began to envision another way of existing in the world: what if we could truly own our time, cultivate healthy food, spend and pollute less, and live among trees at the top of a mountain, enjoying nature? Different life circumstances converged, and in 2019 (a year before the pandemic), we made the decision to leave the city and move to the countryside to start this project.

What is ecodependence?

It is the progressive strengthening of the links (material and symbolic) that we maintain with our immediate environment, to satisfy (without intermediaries) our basic needs: shelter, food, water, community, knowledge, health, fulfillment, etc.
